Position Overview

Alleato Group is a growing commercial design-build general contractor seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Pennsylvania team. This role supports the Superintendent and Project Manager in managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial construction experience who enjoys working in the field and being part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily commercial construction activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to maintain project schedules.
  • Conduct and participate in jobsite safety meetings while promoting a safe work environment.
  • Monitor jobsite progress and document daily activities with photos and reports.
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities and subcontractors.
  • Participate in owner, architect, and contractor (OAC) meetings and provide project updates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
  • Review subcontractor scopes of work and assist with RFIs and drawing revisions.
  • Help manage punch lists and project closeout activities.
  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation.
  • Assist with look-ahead schedules and overall project scheduling.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners while representing Alleato Group professionally.
  • Ability to travel to local commercial project sites throughout Pennsylvania and other states (if needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial construction field experience.
  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and prioritize tasks.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar construction software is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
